National Partners Meeting Held within the WOMEX Project

In the premises of the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade (RADEI), on June 22, 2026, a meeting of Serbian partners within the WOMEX project – The Role of Women in the Competitiveness of Exporting SMEs was held. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Association of Business Women in Serbia and the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade, as partner organizations from Serbia involved in the implementation of the project.

The discussion focused on the progress achieved so far in implementing project activities, as well as on defining plans for the upcoming implementation period. In this context, special attention was given to the preparation of the upcoming stakeholder meeting, where the results achieved to date will be presented, along with the collection of additional suggestions and recommendations from key actors aimed at improving policies supporting women entrepreneurs.

Within the meeting, the selection of examples of good practice from Serbia to be included in the WOMEX project was also discussed, with the aim of promoting successful models supporting the development of women’s entrepreneurship and strengthening the export orientation and competitiveness of women-owned enterprises.

The partners also exchanged information on the preparations for the upcoming fourth interregional partner meeting within the project, which will bring together partners from different European regions to exchange experiences and good practices in the field of improving the position of women operating in export markets.

The WOMEX project is implemented within the Interreg Europe programme and is co-funded by the European Union, with the aim of improving public policies that enhance the competitiveness and export potential of small and medium-sized enterprises owned by women, through interregional cooperation and knowledge exchange.
