The Association of Business Women in Serbia, as a project partner within the IMPACTA project, organized the first meeting of the Local Support Group, officially marking the beginning of the process of local engagement of relevant stakeholders in the project implementation.

The meeting was opened by Dušica Semenčenko, the member of the Steering Commitee of the ABW.  The IMPACTA project was presented by the Project manager of the ABW Lija Stojković, who introduced the participants to the basic information about the project, its objectives, and planned activities. Special emphasis was placed on strengthening women’s entrepreneurship through capacity building, improving cooperation with relevant stakeholders, and developing innovative support mechanisms.

During the meeting, an overview of IMPACTA project activities was also presented, including both completed and ongoing activities, as well as the three key pillars of the project: research and knowledge exchange, pilot interventions, and the development of replicable support models.

The event also included a discussion with participants, during which experiences and opinions were exchanged regarding trainings, mentorship, and work with target groups. Participants had the opportunity to present their organizations and fields of work, as well as to identify potential opportunities for future cooperation.

The meeting was also an opportunity for initial networking and strengthening cooperation among national stakeholders. In the coming period, further engagement of interested parties in project activities is planned, especially in the process of needs assessment, validation of results, and preparation of pilot activities.
