Entrepreneurs’ Gathering Held in Loznica as Part of the World of Women – Emilija Popović Event

An Entrepreneurs’ Gathering was held in Loznica as part of the World of Women – Emilija Popović event, organized by the Association of Business Women Kreativna Vizija. The event took place at the Mina Karadžić Gallery, within the Vuk Karadžić Cultural Center in Loznica, bringing together numerous women entrepreneurs, as well as representatives of institutions and organizations dedicated to women’s empowerment.

The program opened with welcome speeches delivered by several distinguished speakers, including the President of the City Assembly, Milena Manojlović Knežević; Snežana Nešković-Simić, Director of the Cultural Center; and Slavica Tešić, President of the Association “Kreativna Vizija.” In the introductory segment, Sanja Popović Pantić, President of the Association of Business Women in Serbia, also addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of initiatives that support the development of women’s entrepreneurship, and especially praising the engagement and initiative of local women entrepreneurs.

Following the opening remarks, participants introduced themselves. A special segment of the program was dedicated to the online catalog Women’s Ethno Hub – With Love from Loznica, presented by Dragana Panajotović, Executive Director of the Association of Business Women in Serbia. The catalog was created as part of the WIN project – Improving the position of Women in the labour markets of peripheral INdustrial regions  implemented through the EU Interreg Danube Region Programme.

As part of this segment, an exhibition of products featured in the catalog was organized. This was followed by the announcement of upcoming activities marking the International Girls in ICT Day, presented by Olivera Popović, Vice President of the Association and project coordinator.

The event also included the presentation of the “Best Mom” award, recognizing outstanding women for their contributions to both community and family life.

The afternoon program was dedicated to culture, featuring the promotion of the book Letters to an Embryo by author Jasna Kaluđerović, held in a gallery space dedicated to the works of Mića Popović and Vera Božičković Popović.

The evening program concluded with the monodrama “I, Medea”, performed by Ivana Petrović, followed by a panel discussion on violence against women and the position of women in contemporary society, moderated by Sanja Hajdukova.

The Entrepreneurs’ Gathering once again confirmed the importance of networking, exchange of experiences, and mutual support among women in business, as well as their significant role in the development of the local community and society as a whole.
