WE.Circular Project – Partners Meeting Held in Bucharest

17-19.09.2025

On September 17 and 18 key events of the EU project WE.Circular were held in Bucharest. Impact Hub Bucharest hosted representatives of 14 partner organizations from 11 countries of the Danube Region, including the Association of Business Women in Serbia, represented by project manager Lija Stojković.

The first day featured peer review sessions dedicated to presenting and analyzing six circular business models developed within the project. Through discussion and the exchange of recommendations, participants identified ways to improve the models and opportunities for their application in different local contexts.

The second day was marked by a dissemination event, opened with keynote addresses by representatives of the National Research and Development Institute for Biological Sciences in Bucharest and the organization Viitor Plus. Following an overview of the project’s results to date, business models of the finalists of the WE.Circular Innovation Contest – ALTRNTV Lifestyle, OilRight, and Style Me App – were presented, offering innovative solutions in the field of circular economy.

These events provided partners from across the Danube Region with an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, further strengthening the project’s goals aimed at enhancing the digital and industrial capacities of women entrepreneurs and promoting the circular economy.

WE.Circular – Boosting Digital and Industrial Capacity for Sustainable Circular Transition of Women Entrepreneurs in the Danube Region is the European project co-financed by the Danube Region Program. The project aims to enhance the digital and business skills of women entrepreneurs in the fields of industrial and circular transition, while also enabling the training of key stakeholders in the implementation of smart business strategies.
