WE.Circular Project – First Year Review Meeting and Fifth Learning Event Held in Sarajevo

Several key events of the EU project WE.Circular took place on March 26 and 27 in Sarajevo – the First Year Review Meeting, fifth Transnational Learning Event focused on best circular practices, the partners meeting and the visit to the Center for Advanced Technologies. At the First Year Review meeting, 15 project partners from 12 countries presented so far results of the activities implemented on the national and international level, including Lija Stojković, Project Manager at the Association of Business Women in Serbia.

WE.Circular – Boosting Digital and Industrial Capacity for Sustainable Circular Transition of Women Entrepreneurs in the Danube Region is the European project co-financed by the Danube Region Program. The project aims to enhance the digital and business skills of women entrepreneurs in the fields of industrial and circular transition, while also enabling the training of key stakeholders in the implementation of smart business strategies.

During the Transnational Learning Event, best practices from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary were showcased, demonstrating effective approaches to fostering women’s entrepreneurship and integrating circular business models. By engaging in knowledge exchange and sharing experiences, project partners from the Danube region gained crucial insights into sustainable business practices, which will play a significant role in the next phases of the project and in shaping future initiatives aimed at advancing digital and circular transformation.

On the second day of the meeting, partners have visited the Center for Advanced technologies that supports startups and, through its activities, promotes circular economy by applying multidisciplinary research and development of innovative technologies.

As the host of the event, the partner organization The Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, welcomed 14 partners from 11 countries: Bulgaria, Serbia, Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, and Germany.
