Several key events of the EU project WE.Circular took place on November 25 and 26 in Stuttgart, including the fourth Transnational Learning Event focused on best practices in circular business models, the first Thematic Task Group Meeting, the Steering Committee meeting, and the Tech Summit. The project partners and experts were joined by Lija Stojković, Project Manager at the Association of Business Women in Serbia, and Tijana Sekulić, the owner and director of the consulting firm AT Consulting and external expert on the project. The focus of the event was on women’s entrepreneurship, circular economy, and digital transformation.

WE.Circular – Boosting Digital and Industrial Capacity for Sustainable Circular Transition of Women Entrepreneurs in the Danube Region is the European project co-financed by the Danube Region Program. The project aims to enhance the digital and business skills of women entrepreneurs in the fields of industrial and circular transition, while also enabling the training of key stakeholders in the implementation of smart business strategies.

During the Transnational Learning Event, best practices from Germany and Austria were presented, highlighting key strategies for supporting women’s entrepreneurship and implementing circular business models. Through the exchange of knowledge and experiences, project partners from the Danube region gained valuable insights into aspects of sustainable business practices, which will be important for the next stages of the project and future green initiatives focused on digital and circular transformation.

The first Thematic Task Group Meeting was held on the same day, in the form of a joint brainstorming session with project partners and external experts, with the aim of developing training modules for women entrepreneurs.

On the second day of the event, as part of the Tech Summit, a workshop dedicated to circular economy, the latest research, and practices in this field took place. The workshop brought together professionals and experts, including project partners. Specialized sessions covered various aspects of circular economy, such as gamification, enhancing industrial sustainability, and designing products according to the principles of the circular economy. These sessions allowed participants to familiarize themselves with innovative business processes that form a significant foundation for the further development of green initiatives in the Danube region.

As hosts of the event, the partner organization BWCON, along with the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Baden-Württemberg, welcomed 14 partners and external experts from 11 countries: Bulgaria, Serbia, Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
