INCLUSION OF MARGINALIZED WOMEN GROUPS IN PUBLIC ADVOCACY IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THEIR POSITION IN THE LABOR MARKET

INCLUSION OF MARGINALIZED WOMEN GROUPS IN PUBLIC ADVOCACY IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THEIR POSITION IN THE LABOR MARKET

September 2021 – April 2022

The aim of the project is inclusion of marginalized groups of women in the labor market (Roma women, 45+ women, unemployed, women from rural areas) through supporting local governments to find the best mechanisms for (re)integration of these women groups and relying on the local employers good practices.

The project will cover the following activities over 7 months:

– 3 round tables: in Zrenjanin, Priboj and Čačak

– Establishment of an e-Advisory Center on the ABW website

By organizing round tables, contact will be established and dialogue will be facilitated between hard-to-employ women from these three regions and representatives of the public, private and civil sectors (local governments, institutions, civil society organizations, National Employment Service and local employers).

In the later phase of the project, by establishing an e-Advisory Center on the active ABW site, women interested in starting a business will be able to ask questions, which will be answered by experienced members of the Association. Questions and answers will be visible and permanently available, so that as many potential entrepreneurs as possible can find answers to the most frequently asked questions.

The project implemented by ABW is funded by the Open Society Foundation.
