September 2018 – August 2019

The project “Be equal in the value chain” aims to promote the inclusion of small and micro companies in the value chain of large corporations, in order to make their self-employment sustainable and thus strengthen the economic capacity of women in Serbia.

The project promotes assistance to the development of women’s entrepreneurship, in accordance with the National Action Plan for Economic Empowerment of Women, as well as with the principles defined by The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women). Inclusion of women in the value chain is the 5th principle of women’s empowerment, and this project encourages its implementation and implements the concept of sustainable economy in which all economic participants are part of a single ecosystem in which they benefit, while contributing to the whole economy and society.

The need for greater cooperation and connection of the corporate sector with the small business sector, especially women’s businesses, which are distant from each other, has been recognized. Therefore, a panel on this topic will be held within the project, also B2B meetings will be organized, where representatives of the corporate sector will have the opportunity to meet directly with women entrepreneurs – members of the Association of Business Women in Serbia, who will have several presentations and exhibitions to which they will present their products and services.

Project is supported by the Netherlands embassy and Coordination Body for Gender Equality.
