Almost two thirds of women are on fixed-term contracts

According to the data of the World Bank, in Serbia over 70% of working women are on open-ended (permanent) contract.

The Association of Business Women in Serbia confirms this information, emphasizing that even though the in the public is always discussed the fight against the white plague since there are not many employers who will give job to a young women – permanently, having the fear that she will immediately take maternity leave.

“Women in Serbia are the most vulnerable at the workplace during the period when they are starting a family,” said Ljiljana Karaklajić, member of the Association of Business Women in Serbia and the owner of company “D Express” from Belgrade.
