– Lately the State, that is, the relevant Ministry as well as agencies with jurisdiction in SME sector, create special programs to support women’s entrepreneurship. Also, at the initiative of this Ministry, in 2011 was initiated a comprehensive study on women’s entrepreneurship, in order to continue the practice of statistical monitoring of women’s entrepreneurship, which is of great significance, because in this way its development can be monitored. For a while now, the Guarantee Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina successfully supports establishment of female enterprises. On republic level the Development fund launched, in 2012, first credit lines for women entrepreneurs – mentioned Sanja Popovic Pantic, president of ABW Serbia – largest national organization of women entrepreneurs, during her interview with “Dnevnik”. While speaking about the activities of the Association of Business Women in Serbia – which was awarded for its activities by the European Committee last year, the interviewee points out the intention of women entrepreneurs to impact the improvement of conditions for earning, with emphasis on female businesses , and therefore they are engaged in various projects.

– The goal of our latest project “Women Entrepreneurship Contribute to the Development of Economic Policy in New Political Context” is to establish a permanent dialogue with relevant institutions, in order to jointly create a Platform for support of Women’s Entrepreneurship. Project is supported by the Delegation of the European Union for the Republic of Serbia, and Office for Cooperation with Civil society of the Government, and anticipates meetings with relevant boards of the Parliament, defining the Platform, that is, the document which will be created based on these meetings and dialogue with members of the Parliament, which will serve, as a solid base for further advocacy for improving the conditions for Women entrepreneurs in Serbia.
