Project “Women Entrepreneurs contribute to development of economic policy in new political context” (Women Entrepreneurs contribute), has the aim to strengthen the dialogue between the Association of Business Women in Serbia, local Women’s Entrepreneurs Associations and the Parliament, in order to influence the formulation of gender-sensitivepolicies relating to entrepreneurship.
The Association of Business Women in Serbia, will perform project activities in 7 cities (Valjevo, Cacak, Bujanovac, Backi Petrovac, Subotica, Zajecar and Belgrade) with the following partners: Association of Business Women “Nadezda Petrovic” from Cacak, Association of Business Women “Eve” from Valjevo and the Academy of female entrepreneurship from Backi Petrovac.
Through cooperation with relevant Committees of the Parliament business women in Serbia will be given the opportunity to present their priorities, which need to be worked on and need to be supported by the Parliament.
Conclusions from panel discussions to be organized in all Boards, will be included in the Platform for support Women’s entrepreneurship by the Parliament.
Parliament has institutionally supported this project, funded by the Delegation of the EU to the Republic of Serbia and Government’s Office for cooperation with Civil society.
Asides from work on the Platform with the Parliament Boards, project involves following activities:
- Five workshops on gender budgeting, which will be conducted in Belgrade, Backi Petrovac, Subotica, Zajecar and Bujanovac.
- Round tables in all of the 7 cities, during which time Platform will be presented
- Panel discussions on quarterly economic reviews regarding business conditions for enterprises
- Ceremonial presentation and signing the Platform in the Parliament by the MP of the Parliament at the end of the project.
