ABW on Charity Bazaar

ABW on Charity Bazaar

Association of Business Women in Serbia has given its support and participated in the 13th Charity Bazaar held on December 1st 2013, which was organized by the International Women’s Club (IWC). The IWC counts over 200 members from over 40 countries worldwide. Charity Bazaar was opened at the Belgrade Fair and brought together 48 countries from all around the world, as well as several thousands of visitors.

In this manner, the cooperation between ABW Serbia and IWC – that has started last year, later to be continued with a project “Training young women with physical and developmental disabilities”, has once again, been successfully accomplished. This project was implemented in cooperation with Home for mentally challenged children and youth – Sremcica, where our members participated actively in workshops with children from the House, encouraging their creativity and development of their potential. Creative workshops for kids were organized by Marija Ivankovic Jurisic, fashion designer and member of ABW Serbia, and their handicrafts were displayed at the Serbian stand at the Charity Bazaar, which was supported by companies – members of ABW Serbia and their owners.

Biljana Jovanovic, owner of “Luna” fashion company, through her support to the event and the support of her associates, made a link between the organizers and her fellow workers; Afrodita Bajic, owner of “AMC” fashion company sent two rails packed with clothes¸ Svetlana Mojic, owner of “Salt & Water” studio, designed a banner for the Serbian stand; Maja Enis, owner of publishing house “Enco book”, for years now is a sponsor of the Charity Bazaar.

A large number of ABW Serbia members supported stands of other countries that were exhibitors at the Bazaar. It was a great pleasure for the ABW and its members to give their support to this event, considering that this kind of humanitarian event is an essential part to socially responsible business, as well as ABW activities.
