Radojka Nikolić

Radojka Nikolic (60) is editor in chief of two business-economic monthly magazines – Ekonometar and Biznis magazine. She graduated from the faculty of Philology in Belgrade, and during her studies she started with her career as a journalist. Her first business experiences were at Radio Belgrade, Television Belgrade, daily „Borba“, RTV B. Since 1991 until January 2006, Radojka was employed as a journalist and editor of the Economy section of the daily Politika. In January 2006, Radojka founded a publishing house NIRA PRESS that publishes Ekonometar and Business magazine. From January to June of 2011 she was employed as an editor of Economy section in weekly magazine NIN.

Radojka Nikolic is author of books „Dragoslav Avramović – tvorac ekonomskog čuda“ (1995), „Ekonomisti o tranziciji u Srbiji“ (2003), author and project manager of three years research „Otvoreno o korupciji u Srbiji“ in cooperation with the Foundation Fridrih Ebert (Series of round tables realized from 2001 to 2004), author of the research and project „Socijalna slika i reforme u Srbiji” (2003) in cooperation with the Foundation Fridrih Ebert.

Awards and acknowledgements:

  • Yearly award of the newspaper Politika for the best journalist.
  • Award of the Association of Business Women in Serbia “Success Flower 2009”.
  • Main yearly award of Belgrade Banking Academy in 2009 – for economic analytics, editing and journalism.
  • TABOO magazine award “Golden Feather” in 2010
  • Yearly award of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, for the best journalist on the subject of Economy in 2010.
